I booked the room to get a few hours of sleep between flights. I chose this property because it had a free shuttle to and from the airport, and it suited my backpackers budget .
The shuttle was great. Check-in was easy and pleasant. The property seemed to be undergoing renovations (there was a sign posted when I got inside the wing where my room was). It was definitely run-down and quite unclean. The bathroom especially, which is always unpleasant. The bed itself was clean and comfortable . It was kind of noisy with people talking until quite late, and based on the surrounding area I was not 100% confident about safety and security (there was only a button lock on the doorknob, no deadbolt or security chain) and I was on the ground floor so I didn’t feel safe keeping the window open while I slept. There was a very strong chemical smell in the room (cleaning chemicals I would guess) and so between all that and no fresh air, I did not manage to get any sleep before having to get on the airport shuttle at 4am. They did have very nice quality tea available in the room.
I would not stay at this property again. Hopefully it will be better when the renovations are complete.
