Lodge a Backbone Mountain

“It was adequate for a night ; I wouldn't suggest staying any longer than that. The mattresses seemed to be new but were very hard, not good for side sleepers. It is in the process of renovation but has a lot of work still needed, particularly the bathroom. The pool was also out of order. Eat somewhere else. The bar was understaffed with only a single worker acting as both bartender and waiter. Management just stood there givng the poor guy a nasty look without help or direction. Food tasted...

“Unfortunately, I did not ask, but the room was on the second floor up a flight of stairs, and I have mobility impairments, so it was difficult accessing the room. Otherwise everything was good and communication with the owner was prompt and helpful.”

“The location was excellent for our trip. It's just outside of Elkins, so a convenient distance from any services while still being in nature. Visiting Blackwater Falls and accessing the national forest were both within reasonable driving times.The kitchen was pretty well stocked and the items were in good condition.”
