“Good value for a short stay in a convenient location just off the beach road. Property is quite dated, but our room was clean, comfortable and quiet. I will mention that the outer entrances were unlocked all day and night, even though there were card reader mounted right next to the doors. The breakfast voucher was great; the restaurant breakfast was excellent and far better than the usual breakfast options in this class of hotel.”

On arrival we had been waiting ~10 min for a moment when girl on reception would finish a telephone call to her friend. As I heard she spoked Russian by phone, I started to speak Russian with her as well, but she told she doesn't understand me and we continued on English. hmm... o_0”

“Very clean, two minute to the beach, and very nice pool! Only downside is no wi-fi and you can't hook up a console or streaming device to watch streaming apps. Also wish there was more parking. Thankfully we were always able to get to a spot before it was full but late night goers may struggle. Definitely a nice spot for those who don't care about that stuff and close to the beach.”

“I liked the location, and the amenities were good. However, I did not like my room (city view). The curtains were too short, and the room became very bright early in the morning because they did not block enough light.”

“We’ve been coming to OC for 25+ years and have stayed at The Hampton Inn ever since they opened. We always get our preference of a bay room, and the staff is friendly and helpful. We were a little apprehensive with it being a pet friendly hotel but there were no issues. We appreciate the fact that they have already remodeled when the hotel isn’t really that old. Pretty bummed though that the tiki bar has been removed 😔.”

“The property was in great location to the beach (which was the selling point). Walk right out of your hotel and your toes are touching the dunes. The front desk wasn’t very helpful answering questions relating to nearby areas and left out that you can shuttle to their sister property (Aloft) which seemed to be in much better condition. “The hotel and the room were clean, but we had a constant issue with supply. The pool was out of towels and even after asking for more, we never got them. Lobby restrooms out of paper towels for days on end and when they finally restocked the paper towels, they were out of toilet paper. Housekeeping changed our sheets but did not give us any towels, toilet paper, or garbage bags. Also, the free hot breakfast was sub-par. The eggs were watery and hard at the same time. “The place is nice. However it’s not the cleanest. We checked in and saw 2 hair on a supposed clean towel, as well as a fly that we couldn’t deal with. The staff was able to provide fly catcher for us to hit the fly, but was unable to change us into another room that’s ocean front.”

“The room was OK. The bathroom floor was dirty. And the air conditioning unit sucked. It was cooler outside than it was inside. And the porch door was not sealed at the top so it was just extremely humid in the room. Definitely just ok.”
