Oak Tree Retreat-Walk to Village and Lake

 Questa casa prende il nome dalla bellissima quercia di 120 anni che è il fulcro del ponte posteriore! Il ponte è lungo 30 piedi ancorato da una grande SPA ALL'APERTO (NUOVA vasca idromassaggio). Quando devi tornare alla tecnologia, puoi farlo stendendo nel soggiorno accanto al camino. Lì troverai internet wifi, TV satellitare, TV 43 'ad alta definizione, lettore DVD, lettore CD e Media Center (ROKU, streaming video NetFlix). Ti rannicchi anche al camino. La cabina ha anche accesso a Internet WiFi se si desidera portare con sé il proprio iPad o laptop. Quando è il momento di dire buonanotte, puoi scegliere tra 2 camere da letto. Una camera ha un re e la seconda ha due letti singoli.

Se ti addormenti nel soggiorno, non agitarti perché c'è un divano letto matrimoniale. Questa cabina può ospitare comodamente 6, che è il numero di bistecche da avere sul barbecue (carbone e gas) che si trovano sul ponte. Goditi un bicchiere mentre aspetti le bistecche. La cabina stessa è a trave aperta e al gusto di montagna. Sei anche a pochi passi dal villaggio e dal lago. Preparati a guardare in soggezione della natura! Inoltre, una cucina rinnovata e ristrutturata!

Little holiday getaway

This property was perfect for a long weekend away for the four of us. Although there was no snow, we were super close to the very festive Village, which is always fun. It was a plus having a large yard for our dog, so she could have fun too. My boys and I were able to ski one day, even though only a few slopes were open.

Great little place walking distance from the village

In short, we enjoyed our stay over the summer. We made the property our own. The property felt neglected overall, but we enjoyed it with our own personal touches. Utensils, cooking equipment, etc is lacking, so bring your own. There is no laundry either, which wasn’t that big of of a deal as we traveled back to our home at least once a week. Would we rent it again? That would depend on price.

Cozy Cabin

We enjoyed this family get away. It’s a small cozy cabin that fit two adults and two children well. The house was clean and has a nice back yard and front porch. Only thing that was bothersome is that upon entry to the living room, there was an animal urine odor. Most likely from pets being able to say at the property. I would have the management shampoo the rug or replace it. Other than that, really a nice cozy place.

Weekend getaway

This cabin was exactly as described. The place was cozy and warm after snowing all day. The village was a quick walk. The bed was comfortable and all areas of the house were clean. The backyard was a huge bonus. I brought my dog and he was able to play in the snow to his hearts content. For a weekend getaway it was the perfect location.

Family ski trip

This was an excellent family rental! It was touch and go with the changing weather and reload closures… the property manager and owner were excellent! They kept us updated on the roads and helped us find a way up! The cabin was cozy and very close to snow summit summit. Great family vacation!

Perfect getaway for our small family

We had a fabulous experience at this lovely cabin. Perfect size for the 4 of us. My son turned 9 and all he wanted was a cabin vacation. The host was very easy to communicate with and check in was easy. The location was the highlight as it was easy to go to the lake or the little village shops. It was a fun experience for our first time in Big Bear and first time VRBO user.

Nice but could use some extras

At the end of the day we enjoyed our annual family big bear trip but the cabin could use a little extras... the location was great! The backyard was enclosed and safe for snow play for the littles as well as a big patio to grill on and hang with the family. The spa was excellent and just what we needed at the end of the day. Sheets were clean and beds were comfortable. The tv was easy to navigate and had Netflix which was great... however the cabin smelt like someone had a bonfire inside when we entered so we had to air it out for a couple hours. The key only locked the screen door so it felt a little unsafe when we slept at night. There was only one dish towel to dry the hand washed dishes all weekend. They wanted us to clean the patio and any evidence of a BBQ yet there was no broom provided to do so. It also would have been nice to have some snow play saucers on site for the kids. When all is said and done we enjoyed our stay and would rent again. Thank you Mary!

Good location but place could have been cleaner. Property manager. Bring your own pillows.

The place was in a good location near the Village and there was good communication with the Owner. The communication between the property manager and owner was sub par and the sheets/pillows and couch had dog hair. Asked for new sheets. Property manager called me and advised that cleaning services would bring sheets and install them on the bed. Apparently Maintenance came instead and they would not install them on the bed. They failed to bring the correct size sheets. Had to message owner since property manager office was closed. They stated there was miscommunication and that’s why the incorrect size sheets were delivered and said cleaning service would bring the new sheets. Maintenance brought the correct sized sheets instead of cleaning services again, but would not install on the bed. Maintenance did take the dirty sheets. Eyes were itchy during the trip. I would recommend bringing your own pillows. Kitchen table had ash on it upon arrival. I recommend owner hiring a better cleaning service.

Loved the Oak Tree Resort!

Cute, clean and convenient location. Cozy fireplace, loved the privacy of the jacuzzi, well appointed kitchen - perfect for our getaway! We’d definitely stay there again!

Cozy yet spacious for 4 I was thrilled there was Christmas decorations to enjoy and a great fireplace My granddaughter had a great time in the snow The management company was easy to deal with when the heater died was fixed in a couple of hours

Quick Getaway

Excellent location, perfect for a getaway with kids and pets. Great fenced in yard and deck. Kids loved the hot tub and fireplace. All the amenities you need for a weekend in the mountains.

Relaxation trip

This was a very cute two bedroom cabin. Really enjoyed the jacuzzi pool on deck. Property does need some repairs, especially the front door locks and the blinds. But we enjoyed our stay.

Great Getaway!

My wife and I flew in from Ohio and stayed here for a week. We had an awesome time. The cabin was very nice and clean. The location was great. It was only a 10 minute walk to the downtown area. It was a very quiet neighborhood. The deck and the hot tub were the highlights of our stay!

Cobwebs everywhere

Comphy but could have been cleaner. Windows were dirty and there were cobwebs everywhere, inside and out. Very dirty around the deck next to the hot tub. When I had to put the cover back on I got filthy. It's a nice place but the house keeper neads to do a much better job.

Great for a small group!

Me and three friends stayed here for a birthday weekend trip and this cabin was perfect! It was just big enough to be comfortable for four people. The hot tub on the deck was amazing and the location was very convenient for going to the marina or hiking trails. The key lock box was for some reason very hard to open but other than that everything was great for our weekend.

Great Location and Home

We really enjoyed our stay at Oak Tree Retreat. The location is perfect with easy access to both lake and mountain activities and plenty of things to do within walking distance. The home is comfortable and had everything we needed for the week. The owners were quick to respond with any questions we had. We will be back!

Owners were responsive. Big bear Destinations were not

The place itself was okay, a little dated and needed to wash counters and dishes before use. Shower curtain was very cheap and fell off every time we opened or closed it. Fridge wasn’t working for first 24 hours and BIg Bear Destination management told me to pick up ice for my cooler! No one there answers a phone and had to wait on hold for 15 min! Owners were more responsive than property managers !! After first day, they brought another fridge. The metal screen door was torn open by the handle and scratched my hand. Very dangerous. Best part is 3 days after we leave we start getting calls from BB Destinations asking when we are checking out. They need to clean for the next guest! We had been gone 3 days already!! This occurred several times, even AFTER I called to inform them of the error!! I finally had to block the number! If you can rent directly from the owners, then do it, but this management company are awful!!
