“We stayed in a two-queen-bed suite and were impressed by how spacious it was. The hotel is relatively new, and everything—from the room to the common areas—felt clean and well-maintained. That said, the hotel gets extremely busy on weekends, especially during events like the Jefferson’s Cup. With so many families staying there, it can get quite noisy at night, with kids running through the hallways and in nearby rooms. “All was good except the elevators. Only one of 2 worked and I felt very uncomfortable riding it as it did not go to the correct floor and shook violently when stopping”

“Room was in terrible condition. Floors were ripped up, paint was peeling off the walls, tried to get towels and they told me they had none. No one was ever at the front desk or answering the phone. They also don’t offer housekeeping on the weekends. Our toilet stopped working and instead of coming to fix it they handed my husband a plunger and told him to try that. Do not recommend this hotel.”

“We had two rooms. Room 512 had a nasty odor. It was very difficult to be in the room, let alone sleep. We kindly explained our situation to the front desk receptionist and she absolutely refused to change our room. We had not used the room or unpacked. She said the best she could do was have the maintenance man 'spray something'. She even told us that the hotel was not full but she could NOT offer us another room. We will never stay at Candlewood Suites again.”
