I was a little disappointed to see Haigh Whisky is no longer served. When we first stayed here, Barry introduced me to Haigh cocktails.
We will revisit when the hotel refurbishment is complete. ”

“Stayed for two nights lovely place very clean .it's in the process of being returned and what had been done looked very good .breakfast was excellent and all the staff we came across were very helpful and friendly.would definitely go back and recommend it .lovely couple of days ”

“Comodo se siete in auto. Vicino a Keswick e a poche miglia da Grasmere Ambleside e Windermere. Pulito e moderno. Colazione abbastanza ricca ma usano prodotti di pulizia scarsi perché i tavoli erano sempre appiccicaticci la mattina. Nel complesso resta un'ottima scelta. ”

One quibble - a lift would have been nice - the stairs are a challenge for creaky knees.”

“Enjoyed our stay for a very good price. Our standard double room wasn’t huge but looked newly renovated, everything was clean and fresh and the bathroom with walk-in shower was fantastic. Free parking right outside was very helpful. We were visiting family so didn’t have time to try the bar or restaurant. All in all a very good stay.”

“The property is very nice, quiet surroundings and the perfect view you will expect from a hotel this price. The food is above expectation with a totally different menu 2 nights of stay. A final point that the staff are amazing particularly April and Poppy, fantastic waitresses who care for their guests dinner, stay and well being.”

“If you stay here, just know that it’s an older space, but it’s also beautiful. They have a great area to gather and games to play. The property has a proper garden area with lots of places to sit. We would absolutely go back.”

Amazing lounges , great views. Five star spa , within walking distance of The Lakes distillery, what more could you want ?

Hotel was beautiful and certainly above the ‘stars’ given.
Bedrooms were massive and tastefully decorated. Breakfasts were amazing and plenty of it.
Some decor dated bit the staff certainly made up for any of that. .. Kind, professional, knowledgable, engaging abd with a sense of humour. …. Certainly a credit to Hotel.
Hotel has recently been modernised bit nit lost its Victorian charm.
