“Room and facility was clean. Very comfortable bed and good size room. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast in the morning was good. Bagels, muffins, eggs, bacon, cereal, yogurt, pancakes, coffee and juices. Would have liked half and half but only so cremora. Could hear some outside traffic as the hotel is on a busy road but wasn't bad based on our room being further in the back. May be problematic if on roadside of hotel. Would stay there again”

“During an off season stay, there were very few visitors and they were in the process of doing some renovations. In spite of that, everything was in working order and there were no noises or construction disturbance. The restaurant and bar at the Whaler was very popular and the food was excellent. The stir fry in particular, and then the wings special on Sunday night, just excellent!”

“We were visiting family in Bristol for the holidays and used Founders Brook as our home base for five nights. The property is close to Portsmouth’s downtown area and a hop over the bridge to Bristol. We had some of the best sleep we’ve had in years and felt very at home. This is the fourth time we have stayed here and each time we notice improvements. Love the complimentary toiletries!!”

“If you book through expedia or other sites, make sure you provide your HHonors number at check in or they will refuse to print a receipt for you. I had to complain with the customer service twice before the hotel emailed the stay receipt via email. Something they refused to do at check out, because I did not book on their website. The hotel is a bit outdated, but staff is friendly and professional. The wifi is fast, if compared with other hampton inn, the gym is very good, rooms are spacious....
