“The best thing about my room was the renovated tiny bathroom. It had nice marble and sink but the toilet seat was loose. And that was just the beginning of the poor state of things. The room was pretty clean but the door paint had been chipped and not repainted and the door handle was barely functional. I definitely used the deadbolt lock. Cons: Our door was hung skew so while it closed and locked, the wider opening at the bottom made it so we heard every peep in the hallway. And I’m not sure what catastrophe they had to clean up in the bathroom prior to our stay, but the floor was stained with large splashes of what I can only hope was bleach or cleaning fluid.”

We spent mornings and evenings on the porch watching the boats and wildlife in a serene and quiet setting, but restaurants and shopping downtown were just a minute away by car. Didn't find the fan/air conditioner to be too loud, kept the room cool. Front desk staff was friendly, check-in was quick. “PVI’s main attraction is its proximity to the ocean right at its doorstep. Beautiful views and plenty of beach to walk makes it an ideal stay destination in RI. The amenities are fairly limited prior to late May, as the heated pool isn’t available and the restaurant/bar is closed some days. Still, the beach area and nearby Westerly, Stonington, and Mystic have plenty of charm to make late April and early May worth the stay.”
