“I picked the Surfing Turtle based upon positive reviews but I definitely didn’t have a good experience. I guess someone has to draw the short straw. That was me - my room faced the very BUSY and LOUD road that was about 4 feet from the door. The loud music from nearby clubs went on late into the night. I have stayed in busy and noisy hotels all over and have never had to resort to the earplugs that were left in the nightstand. The Google Map link sent to me wouldn’t work which created...

“We had great and friendly service from all the staff. It was close to the lagoon and we enjoyed watching the manatees surface while sitting on our balcony. While the restaurant was convenient, the food was average. The property is currently under renovation which can make for some loud afternoons. Overall we were pleased.”

“The hotel is on the beach with a beautiful view. The bar and food were great. The room was extremely small. We weren’t aware that the hotel and beach were primarily a gay beach. Not against it but caught off guard”
