They've done a great job of the hotel and grounds, and it's a great location in the village opposite the church. Easy access to nearby towns, the moors and the coastline. Would highly recommend. “Positives: -Incredibly friendly staff -good inclusive breakfast -lots of free parking Negatives: - very expensive room price for amenities - very dated room, cracked floor tiles, broken toilet seat etc - rock hard pillows - springy mattress - small double bed - no aircon - wall heater or window for air”

“Came for the night and it didn’t disappoint. Fiona was a lovely host and left nothing to chance. Room was perfect, breakfast was cooked to order and attention to details was amazing. Highly recommended an would definitely stay again. Thanks very much”

“Lovely clean room with a nice bathroom. Perfect for a short stay. Came with tea/coffee, a television and free WI-FI. No mini fridge. We didn't need one so it wasn't an issue. Breakfast was lovely with a choice of hot food and a continental breakfast. No road noise or unusual bumps in the night so had a wonderful, peaceful sleep. Useful parking at the rear of hotel and easy access to the town of Thirsk. Overall a lovely stay. Lovely staff. Lovely food and a lovely part of the world. ”
