“We had a lovely stay at this hotel and really couldn’t fault it all. The staff were lovely, warm, friendly, very kind & obliging, the room had all the facilities you needed, was very clean, quiet and had fabulous views. The food in the restaurant was very good & offered a nice selection. The continental breakfast was perfect (muesli, granola, mixed berries, yoghurt etc - all my favourite things) & they even provided oatmilk. Above all that it was exceptional value, so we’ll definitely come again...

“The location for the Peaks is fantastic and it’s more affordable than staying in the Peaks itself. We stayed as a family of four and have stayed here before prior to its rebrand but it could do with a bit of TLC. “Maz and crew were great hosts for the 2 nights we stayed! The rooms were clean and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Rooms had a hairdryer, shampoo and body wash and an iron was available. Close proximity to the bus station and footpath to Chattsworth House. It’s about a 25 minute walk from the front door of the hotel to Chattsworth House. Several dining options within a short walk. Wouldn’t recommend getting off at the Grindleford train stop for this hotel, as taxis were nonexistent....
