“We were very pleasantly surprised on arriving at the Boutique Hotel. We were warmly greeted with a glass of Prosecco. Our suite was so much better than we had expected. In addition to the bedroom there was a room with a table for meals, a bathroom with a jacuzzi bath and a Sauna. Our suite did not have a 'hot tub', which the other suites had, but that did not concern us.The Breakfast menu was excellent and food was cooked to order. Our room was beautifully decorated, bed and pillows very comfy and we particularly appreciated the small touches (Flannels, robes, wine on arrival, breakfast service on the room).. Service was impeccable, breakfast beautiful, location quiet and near enough to the Lakes. Our best room yet in Windermere, we'll definitely come back! ”

“Overall - very good and would recommend. The DVD remote wasn’t working, but the chap was straight on to it, and the next guests will have a new remote. The breakfast sausages had a burnt layer on them, but we think that’s the way they fry them. Nice people and great accommodation. ”

“Really handy location for the town centre and far enough away where you can park without issue (permits provided by the host). Had constant communication from our host regarding arrival, stay, parking & dining. Can't fault at all, have recommended to others travelling down & will definitely be considered for future stays when we are in the area.”

“Nice staff, although weren’t flexible about cancelling or changing the reservation when asked. Area is nice and close to the town. Room and bathroom were nice. The bed was annoying for a couple, as it was supposed to be a superior double room but the bed was two single beds put together. The bed sheets were supposed to hold the two beds together, but it didn’t really work well. Sleeping together would mean one of you would end up sinking into the gap in between the two beds. “Woodlands was welcoming on arrival. Room was comfortable and clean with usual kettle, coffee, tea. Good size tv. Breakfast was really good. Great choice of cold and hot food (cooked perfect). Nothing is too much trouble. Close to shops etc. Would definitely stay again in this great location.”
