“Most importantly, the cleanliness of the room and the staff were absolutely excellent. We stayed in the Hawthorn North Suite. Room: I would have enjoyed a firmer mattress. My wife had no complaints, but I had to place a pillow under my legs for back comfort. The soaking tub was quite nice; however, only one person could fit in the tub and there were no built-in water or air jets. Cottage: There was a beautiful, in-tune piano to which we had access. There was also a pool table in the...

“Older. Needs a refresh. Water never got hot. Just tepid. Bed was very comfortable. Staff was awesome! Overall a good stay. Just bummed about a cold-ish shower.”

“Fantastic”

“The place is absolutely beautiful. The setting is perfect. The staff was kind and helpful. Here are a few little things that would have made it a perfect experience. The breakfast on both days was original and interesting. However, it was supposed to be hot not like warm. Outside of our room by the water station was a tray of dirty cups that was there untouched for three days. It may seem petty but our bathroom had only a single roll of TP that was almost used up. The mentioned complementary...

“Even though they were refacing the outside of the bldg, the staff was very helpful in providing recommendations to avoid the work and kept the hours so as not to disturb anyone. It's a very nice hotel and I have stayed here many times.”

“The hotel was very clean. The staff was extremely helpful, we had an issue with our toilet and somebody immediately came up and fixed it.”

“Booked a suite but day of they called and said only had a regular room available. Breakfast is decent, but hot options (eggs, sausage) only on weekends. Room isn’t cleaned every day, which is fine, but had to ask for washcloths and coffee (don’t have any). Room ok but peeling paint, generally dingy and needs upgraded. Cockroach in bathroom one night. Noisier than other hotels - from hallway. Door don’t seem to block much noise. Of approximately 10 hotels we have stayed in last 10 years,...

“Breakfasts were great. The temperature of the room could be adjusted. The room had a soft chair. The motel was close to fast food and a car rental place.”

“Upon arrival the door to the room we were assigned was wide open.”

“Clean, quiet, and convenient”

“Toilet flushing was finicky. No towels were in the room, so we walked over to the office to get those. Room reasonably clean, except behind doors. New laminate flooring looks nice but really needed a good mopping!”

“This did not feel like a camper- it felt like a high-end apartment. We loved Harpers Ferry and this was the perfect spot- so close to downtown. The only difficult part was finding the camper in the dark. The instructions were spot on, but we drove in from RI, so we didn't get in until pretty late (restaurants in the area close early, so we decided to stop for dinner before finding the camper). We did get a little lost in the woods since it was around 9pm. I would recommend a little more...

“Great location, with some beautiful walks through town and to the rivers.”
