“One of the worst stays I’ve had anywhere in a while. My room was on the first floor next to the on set of doors that the lock was broken on which allowed anyone to walk in. ”

“Room smelled of smoke and the first night that we were there, all we could smell was marijuana. The sink in the room did not drain. The stopper was in the lock down position and when we removed it, the drain was blocked with a screw in it. The shower curtain kept falling down as well.”

“This is a fantastic location. Nice, quiet, and plenty of room to roam around. If the weather would have been a little more favorable, we would have enjoyed spending more time outdoors. But, overall, it was great. The host is top notch and VERY accommodating. Im sure we will be back in the near future.”

“Perfect location for visiting our retired friends who recently moved from the northeast. The fireball popcorn was a great housewarming gift! Disappeared rapidly. We will be back again when we visit our friends in the future.”

“Amazing yard for family gathering, football, wiffle ball, running, swinging, fishing, and fire pit! The kids loved the hot tub and pool/ping pong table and we were so comfortable in the kitchen and ALL gathering on the extra large dining table, island table and couch area to play games! The loft was great for the kids and the king bedrooms were very comfortable too! We had such a great time over Thanksgiving!”

“This place has so much potential, but sorry to say it falls short- very short! Our biggest problem with this rental was the overall lack of cleanliness and the misrepresentation of the unit. The pictures and the listed description absolutely do not truthfully represent the unit. It looked abandoned. Cobwebs everywhere, the outside cushions were all damp, moldy, and smelly. Tiki bar full of junk that was damp, moldy and full of cobwebs. The pathway lights down to the dock are ripped out and...

“The house was perfect for our family’s stay and the views were absolutely breathtaking! We came for Thanksgiving and the kitchen worked out beautifully to serve up our huge meal. Communication with the owners was outstanding. Any time I had a question or need it was answered within minutes. Cant recommend this place highly enough! ”

“Rest at Badin Lake was outstanding! The home was equipped with anything and everything one could need Out host was very friendly and helpful. The beds were very comfortable, the view was perfect, and we enjoyed walking the boardwalk and walking to eat at Joeys. Highly recommend to anyone! Thank you for a wonderful stay! ”

“We somewhat enjoyed the property; however, the listing is incorrect and this impaired our overall experience. The listing states there are 6 showers when in fact there are 4. 3 are in the main house and the 4th shower is in a detached garage/billiards room. We would have never booked the house if we knew the accurate situation as our group needs at least 5 showers.
