“Makanda inn is a very well maintained place. The room was very comfortable, and the staff was excellent. The breakfasts were delicious.”

“Beautiful quaint cabin! Had everything you could need. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a nice place to stay.”

“This is an amazing place for a couple or small family to have a first or even small get away or vacation”

“High quality room, with farm privacy and atmosphere. We would recommend it and stay there again. Only one thing: The ladder to the loft bedroom is quite steep. My wife struggled a bit with it. But then, she is in her late 60's. Nevertheless, a good place that we will recommend. A/C worked well, and was needed. Room very clean. We hardly saw staff, which was fine, as we enjoyed our privacy.”

“Quite woodland retreat. A wonderful cabin with two beds and a sitting area with TV and eating area. Great size room, not far from the main building where you order your dinner to go and eat it in your cabin due to COVID Friendly staff Bring your shampoo and conditioner ”

“The cottage was clean, spacious, had 2 bathrooms (which is uncommon for small cabins). It was very well stocked with kitchen items, and the bath towels were awesome, the bed was very nice. It was peaceful and beautiful. The hostess, Suzie was easy to contact and helpful when we had a question upon checking ìn. I would recommend this place and would stay again if we are in the area!”

“It was perfect for what we had planned. Definitely will be back. Thank you for supplying so much. The only thing we didn’t have was aluminum foil, but you had some really cool bowls that I fix some mushrooms and onions and a baked potato to go with our steaks. We had everything else and if we didn’t, you had everything else there beautiful place thank you CJ”

“The location was amazing! Not far from a town for grocery shopping, near several wineries, and close to hiking trails. Quiet and relaxing. Very clean place, simple but had everything needed. I definitely would recommend this place.”

“It was just what we needed to be comfortable in the extreme heat we had - plenty of room for our family of 4 and located just right for everything we wanted to do! Julia was great about communication when we had questions. Would definitely stay here again!”

“Doc's Cabin is a beautiful oasis in southern Illinois! My husband and I had an amazing time catching some bluegills and bass, sitting out on the deck and enjoying the beautiful views! We checked out a few local restaurants and wineries and loved the town! We hope to come back soon when the weather is cool so we can take advantage of the hot tub and fire pit!!! Thank you Tanya for a lovely stay!”

“Kris was extremely responsive and open to feedback. Two Little Birds is a darling concept. Enjoyed the time.”

“Another wonderful stay at this cabin. Quick responses from host, clean place with all the amenities you’d need. Air conditioning worked great. Great location for hiking or exploring the wine trail. Hidden, yet super easy access to highway.”

“Eric left a note They really liked it”

“Kayla provided us a cozy, clean, and recently updated home to stay in for our week long vacation! The kitchen was fully stocked with dishes and appliances, air conditioning was adequate during the heat wave, and the washer and dryer came in handy for our swimming and hiking days! The few repairs that needed to be done were made quickly and professionally as soon as I let her know of them. I would recommend this Vrbo again!”

“We had a great stay. Everything was clean and tidy. Loved the easy lake access. Would definitely recommend. ”
