Also, the outlets are not the normal to outlets that you would see in modern hotels. Make sure to get a three prom to change your electronics. The Wi-Fi is not that get. ”

“Un pub con camere in struttura separata dal pub (pochi metri). Le camere sono abbastanza ampie e con ottima dotazione: macchina per espresso, bollitore e minibar con birra, acqua e latte. Comodo parcheggio di fronte alle camere. Molto buono il cibo sia per la colazione che per i pasti principali, e ovviamente ottima la birra. Il punto di forza resta comunque il personale, sempre disponibile e impegnato a fare sentire il cliente a casa propria, complimenti a tutti!”

“Nice location, in the deep of Surrey AONB but that’s where it ends. The building itself is dated and needs modernising. It’s great as somewhere to lay your head. Small bathroom, thin pillows and duvets. ”

“The property is showing heavy signs of wear. Lots of small maintenance issues just not touched. Could be so much better. Quite disappointing.”

“The staff were very friendly, loved the history of the place. a few things could do with a bit more love, but staff told us there were plans for a spa etc. So would think about a re visit in a year in the summer.”

“The mattress was too soft. At breakfast, there were no pastries and when asked i was told they were all gone over the weekend. Bathtub was not draining water away and when showering you stood in dirty water. On the positive note, the location was great, the gardens were nice. The building has a good character feel.”

“The hotel was ideal for us as only 30 minutes or so to Goodwood. Good value accommodation. Very helpful staff and the Restaurant food was first rate. Also worth a mention was the Bar where the staff and clientele were so welcoming it reminded us of the bar in 'Cheers'!”

“The woman sitting at a tiny table with a laptop got every room mixed up, I ended up in a family room with my sibling, my 2 elderly great aunts were put in a double and my great uncle ended up in a single room which was in the attic, she had no idea and obviously gave the rooms to all the wrong people despite me showing her my booking! The whole place smelt damp and was dirty throughout, the beds were disgusting as was everything else, couldn't wait to get out of that horrible old rundown awful...

“Had a great stay atvyhe Hurtwood. Found it by chance. Great village with plenty of walking direct in to the Surrey Hills as directed by the lovely lady who checked us in. Room very comfortable with fresh milk provided. We found the car park easy for a big car, but would not be so easy in season I think. Dinner in the bar was excellent and good portions. Breakfast cooked to order also great. Will go again. Thank you.”
