“What a delightful old boat in an idyllic setting! Seeing the 'old' craft of making a boat, the woodwork, thinking thru how to naximize use of space fascinated me. Loved my stay. Mark is charming, be sure to have him tell you the history of the boat! He stocked the fridge with brekkie, there was a bowl of perfect apples and charming bouquets of flowers all about. I loved being on the river opposite the nature reserve island and all the creatures living on it. So much to watch, I ended up not...

“Taggs Island is such an interesting little enclave close to London and unbeknownst to us before. Set in a small inlet off the Thames, the house is one of a group facing onto the water. Linda, the host, has very much personalised it and provides every comfort. Although an expensive add-on, highly recommend the hot tub, which is deep and relaxing. Only down-side to the situation and rather shattering the peace, is being on the Heathrow flightpath, which we hadn't thought about!”

“Easily the best place I have ever stayed. Lovely location, so relaxing and quiet. Host was extremely accomodating and easy to communicate with. Wish I could have stayed longer, and will be back at next available opportunity. 5+stars!”
