“I rarely leave bad reviews, but my stay at Candlewood Suites Watertown was honestly very disappointing. Carla at the front desk was kind and accommodating, and she was probably the only positive part of the experience. The room smelled terrible, like a closed unused room full of dust and mold. There were spider webs everywhere, flies inside the room, and the living room area smelled very bad, like it had not been cleaned or used properly for a long time. The curtains were broken, the windows...

“The hotel was in the process of being renovated during my stay but otherwise, the staff was polite and attentive and my room was very clean. My only complaint is that my room did not contain a fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. Beyond that, a great place to stay if you have business in Watertown.”

“There were stains on the bedding, found a sewing needle on the floor between the beds. The AC unit barely cooled. My brother's room had no electricity in the bathroom until the last night after a power outage (probably just needed reset, but should have been caught before check in). His AC unit was also junk and loud”

“The small cabin we booked was very intimate & cozy. It is located approximate to Alexandria Bay with very easy access to the rest of the Seaway Trail. Only thing of question was the bed was a little soft & the bathroom a little tight for a guy my size. We definitely enjoyed our stay overall!”

“This place is disgusting. There is brown liquid literally dripping down the walls in the lobby. Elevator was out of service, it reeked of cigarettes and marijuana, the room was filthy and had stains on the comforter and looked like someone had been laying on it, there was black hair all over the bathroom, rust, and dirt. There were also very sketchy people clearly living in the hotel. We left immediately and were denied a refund.”

“We traveled here with our young children. This hotel is quite new, and very clean. We got a room with 3 beds, which was game changing for us so no one was sharing. The room was plenty big for 4 people. I would definitely stay here again.”

“Service was poor and there is too less items in breakfast. It’s better to not to provide breakfast. Horrible experience and not recommended.”

“It was ok, not the cleanest or well maintained hotel. I read online that the pool was closed for renovations I asked the front desk if it was open which they said it was. Definitely not renovated the bottom was dirty and a light fixture was floating in it. The housekeeping staff were very friendly and helpful but we would not stay there again.”

“The bed room was very uncomfrtable especailly for seniors, no bathroom. The stairs are narrow AND HURTS THE HEAD! The AC in the bedroom was terrible and we both had no sleep.”

Love their pillows and bed! Wish I could buy those comfy pillows LOL One bad thing our room was facing the I-81 so we could hear the big trucks and traffic which sucked”
