Hotel a Falling River

“For reference, I’m a Hilton Gold Member and my opinion of this independent hotel (closest to the Appomattox Surrender Grounds National Park) is that it’s very much on par with a Hampton Inn as far as rooms, decor, amenities and pricing. (But not the cookies) This is my fourth stay here at this hotel and I promise you will not be disappointed.”

“Everything was basic for what you pay. Upon arrival, you check in at a kiosk and its hard to hear and understand, but they are nice and polite. Rooms are fine, two beds (sheets had alot of strings and not the most comfortable), a small fridge, microwave (ours did not work- but luckily we didn't need it), a desk with lamp, note pad and pen, BUT the roll chair for the desk was nasty and molded. ( When mentioned to housekeeping- it was half cleaned 🤔, so may want to check ) 2 of each wash clothes,...

“I made my reservation and paid in advance for my stay MONTHS before my arrival date. Two days before my arrival they cancelled my reservation. I called and talked with the manager who said she would look into it and call me back. I must have sent 3 messages following up and not one was responded to. “This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. Do not waste your money here. First, the shower was very dirty. It had black mold on it, and I had to clean it myself before I could use it. Second, housekeeping did not clean our room unless we called and asked them to. Third, the fruit basket was never replaced.
