“Excellent staff, super friendly and helpful. Our room 106 needed some TLC but it was super clean and spacious with a very comfy mattress. Breakfast was very good, great assortment of cold and hot food and love that’s it’s a ‘help yourself’ options. Good quality food. Our satnav wouldn’t accept the postcode, so if yours is the same, it’s just off junction 36 of the A1. ”

“I stupidly asked Gemini " I want to surprise my daughter with a weekend away, the destination doesn't matter the highlight of the trip is the hotel" and The Earl of Doncaster came up, as one of the options on the train route selected The staff were lovely from the off, both front of house and bar staff, but it wasn't the experience I wanted. We stayed in room 215, in the right corner of the room had major water damage, wall paper and ceiling were brown. The bathroom was nice enough, wet room...

“Used the restaurant twice. Service was very slow. As a result breakfast was like warm for both of us with different menus. Probably the food was standing waiting to be served.”

“Room was ok . Dull dark decor and v small television. Table light worked but wonky and carpet threadbare in some areas . Clean . Check in was not very welcoming , lady seemed rushed and no pleasantries . Asked for more milk which didn’t get . Meal in the evening was good . Sticky toffee sauce was more like weak caramel. Decided not to stay the night so returned home so can’t comment on breakfast. Staff serving meal v good . ”

“Clean but dated room. Had trouble with noisy neighbours and the night porter tried to sort it but wasnt to be....however the manageress Gillian was great sorting a free replacement stay. ”

“Had really good stay, was there for 6 nights, food was lovely, staff really polite and helpful, our room was clean, very comfortable, only thing was the creaking doors early on a morning but that doesn't really affect the quality of stay, overall we had a really nice break away. 100% would recommend staying here if looking for somewhere in pontefract to stay”

“Hotel con ampio parcheggio adeguato a persone in viaggio di lavoro. Impersonale come tutte le catene ma ottimo per una notte. Il wifi ad alta velocità si ma a pagamento. E' l'unica struttura nel mio viaggio dove non ho trovato il wifi gratuito.”
