Hotel a Fort George Island Cultural State Park

“Although the location was excellent, I wouldn’t stay again. The rooms had visible mildew in the showers, which made the smell horrific anytime we needed to use the shower. It just made me question the cleanliness of the rest of the space.”

“I had a decent stay, the hotel was clean but completely empty. Most of the lights were off in the lobby at night. The morning breakfast was nice as it included yogurt and various cereals as well as some eggs. The room and bathroom were clean. Overall good stay!”

“We’ve stayed here in the past and without issues. This trip however the elevator on our side of the hotel was down which meant we had to walk the entire hotel each time we came and went. The door handle for our room was also broken and wouldn’t accept the keycards so ended up having to get replacements a couple times. Something else that is new is that now you have to pay to park each night you stay here, $15/day.”

“We stay here each time we have medical appts in Jacksonville OR have to catch early flights. Approx 15 min from JAX International airport and River City Marketplace (shopping and eating). Staff is always friendly and helpful. Beds are comfy! Plus they have a recliner in each room which is great for my husband since he has to be elevated for breathing purposes while sleeping. They will charge a $100 redundable incident / damage charge, but ive had no problems having it refunded each...

“For 1, I got a room with 2 beds and told them I had children, the bathroom was a death trap for my toddler. The tub was so slick I had to go buy bath mats to put in it. The built in shower METAL fold down chair was also extremely dangerous. There was also a sharp spot in the center of the tub floor that cut my babys foot. And its just part of the tub. There were all kinds of spots on the blankets, I went and bought blanket sets for the beds. The wifi was HORRIBLE, I evem paid for the "better"...

“Restaurant was fine, everything else was a D+. Not what I expected from a doubletree hotel. Will never stay here again. It felt like my shoes were sticking to the carpet on the walk to my room.”

“Hotel moderno gestito veramente bene, da personale molto gentile e disponibile. Camera grande, comoda, con cassaforte, frigo, aria condizionata, bagno con doccia spaziosa e buoni prodotti di cortesia. Non sul mare ma a 3 minuti d'auto dalla spiaggia, parcheggio e buona colazione compresi nel prezzo”

“The hotel was very nice for its age. It is not a newer or newly remodeled hotel but was kept clean and we felt comfortable there, The staff was very pleasant and helpful, esp the front desk crew. The breakfast was plentiful but the area a bit small as was the pool. Access to the ocean was wonderful! Paying for parking seemed odd but once in the area, you do that most everywhere. It was nice to know you always had a spot when you came back. We will def. stay again!”
