Hotel a Fort Riley-Camp Whiteside

“The room was very clean, and the staff was friendly throughout our stay. We did encounter a couple of minor issues. When I tried calling the front desk to ask where the pool was located—since our room didn’t have the usual information binder—no one answered despite multiple attempts. I ended up wandering around in my swimsuit until I finally found it, which was a bit frustrating but also kind of funny in hindsight. The only other issue was the air conditioning. “Due to recent storm activity, the power was out in the entire neighborhood and beyond, so I arrived around midnight to a dark lobby in a dark building. The night manager let me in, told me about the power situation, checked me in, helped me with my luggage to my room on the third floor, and gave me a flashlight. We had to climb six flights of stairs to get there because, of course, the elevator was without power too. The night manager was very accommodating, the room was clean and the bed...

“No hair dryer. No iron. No facial tissues. Smoke detector was in a drawer in the bedside table, not on the wall. Bottom of shower curtain was dirty. Pillow case was dirty. Toilet made a loud clunking sound everytime you sat on it. Faucet in sink moved around. Toilet paper in the bathroom was very hard to reach. We did not eat the breakfast.”

“Room was decent size, offered a mini fridge and freezer as well as microwave. Beds were very uncomfortable for couples, when one moves the entire bed moves. So needless to say we didn't sleep well. There were dogs barking for extended periods of time making it impossible to sleep. Breakfast was biscuits and gravy, eggs, waffles, etc and everything was empty besides a serving of eggs.
