Hotel a Glenwood

“I stayed at the Ameristar East Chicago for 21 nights over 11 stays in fall 2025, travelling for business. It doesn't have everything (breakfast) and is in an odd location. But it was half or less than hotels in Hyde Park, had free parking, big rooms, was always clean and quiet, and the front desk staff was awesome. Shout out to Danica, who was not only a joy but who directed me to the rooms with the best wifi.”

“Very upgraded, impeccably clean and quiet room! Tea, coffee and water was a great plus. Comfortable bed was the best coming late from family gathering. Unfortunately valet was full but parking lot walk isn't bad and easy access. ”

“I was in 2 different king suites where there were slight differences in layout. I was blown away by both. Both were very clean. had everything I needed. I was able to have food delivered and also partook in the breakfast piece. All of it was perfect. Staff was very accommodating and friendly. I would recommend this place to anyone.”

“The breakfast was repetitive. The oatmeal was fresh the first day but after that water was added and the oatmeal was heated and served. However, by the thirid or fourth day it was so dry I didn't want to eat it. I mention to the employee on staff that it was glad to have fresh oatmeal because the day before was awful. The parking was well lit that pavement was kept dry or free of ice. mjones-jackson”

“The hotel is brand new and it shows! It was very clean and modern. My room was spacious with a kitchenette. Honestly, I usually hate hotels with kitchenettes unless I really need one because they always smell like old food people have been cooking. But, no smell in this hotel. They don’t have a hot tub. But the pool was full of kiddos anyway, so I steered clear. Breakfast was like every other hotel’s. It was perfect for my solo New Year’s Eve party! ”
