Hotel a Globe

“Room was extremely quiet, even though we were on the dog floor. Breakfast was extensive and delicious including hot cinnamon rolls and biscuits. Bags were even provided to take leftovers and fruit. Location was very close to blue ridge and to downtown blowing rock and restaurants. Extremely pleased and would definitely recommend.”

“Even though property served us well, it did not meet the expectations of what I saw online. The grounds area and building maintenance are not being kept up as they should be, photos are very deceptive. The whole dorm smelled and felt damp, it was as if they tried to use cleaners to hide the smell. Will definitely be checking out some of the other local lodging options if we ever come back to visit the area overnight.”

“This is a nice hotel. I've stayed here about 4 times. It's comfortable and cozy. The bed is comfy and the rooms have been clean. The staff is friendly as well. The breakfast is pretty good and has plenty of options to include options for drinks. The only issue I have is the room floors need steem cleaned. They have too many stains. Also the hallway smelled a little like dirty carpet. Last issue is someone was smoking a joint at 1am, it stunk the room and I couldn't reach anyone at the front...

“Sleep in is amazing very nice and quiet place. Very clean and good breakfast! Rooms are very nice and clean. Right next to downtown Boone!”

“Wonderful staff and breakfast!”

“We loved the clean, attractive, neatly organized room/bathroom!! Juanita did an excellent job cleaning the room and providing extra bath linens for us. The in-room amenities were superb - e.g. television and location, easy access desk with roomy desk top/desk chair, microwave, coffee machine/coffee/etc., refrigerator, storage areas (drawers, closet, shelving in bathroom/towel holders/toiletries). Very easy access to adjust the room temperature. The bed linens/pillows/carpet and decor were...

“We enjoyed our stay. Our room was very spacious with a full kitchen, large bathroom with jet tub and 2 nozzle shower and a separate bedroom with a small fireplace. It was quiet and centrally located to downtown and within walking distance to many shops and restaurants. We would definitely stay there again.”

“The property was extremely overpriced. There were minimal amenities, sparse room furnishings, hardly any staff members on-site and were unhelpful when you could find them.”

“Our room wasn't ready when we arrived at 6:15 pm. I was told no other rooms were available. 30 minutes after we arrived, we were provided with a room. There was no thermostat in the room, just a window unit that has manual on/off with a dial for cooling and heating. You can't set a temperature. The breakfast was very well stocked and clean.”

“Score was dated, however everything was clean, staff were friendly and helpful with questions. Loved all the outdoor space to walk my dog for potty breaks. Stayed at sister property Boxwood and it is not near as clean and inviting. Would stay at Village Inn again though.”

“The breakfast team was wonderful. Attention to detail and responsive. I gave a medium rating to staff because we were not told that we had to request room make up when we arrived. 3 days and no service, on the 2nd evening we complained and were told the hotel was full so they were too busy to around to us.”

“$376 for frozen jimmy dean mini biscuits. bruised fruit. rooms are like a thift store.”

“Easy check in. Was close to town for restaurants and shops.”

“The room had a very strong, unpleasant smell. Both the carpet and the air coming from the AC had a noticeable odor, which made the room uncomfortable. On top of that, the toilet was extremely loud when flushed, sounding like a tractor. Overall, the room was not a pleasant place to stay, and the hotel needs to improve its cleanliness and maintenance.”

“Clean rooms and great breakfast”

“Very nice place to stay. Great breakfast. I have no complaints. I would stay here again.”
