Hotel a Gouldsboro

“The reviews of this place are incredibly polarizing. Some people think it is the worst place they have ever seen. Others think of it as a twee little time capsule, an example of the pocono mountains in their former glory. The truth is a bit in between, though it is, in cat the worst place I have ever stayed. (And I am a sucker for cheap motels) You can see evidence of its former glory. It seems kinda clean, but it is very run down. Whoever runs this place has done a number of shoddy repairs....

“Rooms were filthy. I checked in and there was dried syrup on the table and dirty linens on the bed. The floor was absolutely disgusting. No one cleaned the room for the 3 days I was there even when requested. The “breakfast” was waffles, bagels, bread, English muffins, however the toaster was broken. The yogurt in the fridge was all expired 05/05 (I found it on the 18th). Do not stay here. Go to the Comfort next to it.”

“We had stayed here more than once and this time was one of the poorest. We had no television after 8:00pm. couldn't find anything to watch. Poor reception in our room.We also disappointed that the room needed a good dusting(especially the bathroom). Our room was musty smelling. On top of that most of breakfast was cold!!!!!!!!I put a bagel in the toaster for 5 minutes and it was barely brown. Might have to consider another hotel. New crew in charge?????”

“An older hotel but clean, quiet, comfortable beds. The bathroom is very small but everything worked. Breakfast was good.”

“The room was clean. Could use some updating but it is charming. The staff were helpful and kind. Love the snacks and drinks. Ample parking. Safe and quiet. Would recommend for a nice getaway”

“Right after arriving and unpacking, I went for a walk around the area. After a minute, a very polite yellow lab trotted up to my side and gave me a nice tour in exchange for several scritches and pats. 10/10 employee(s). As for the accommodations, it was very comfortable and relaxing without feeling like too much "resort". Will be back!”

“Seems like it would be a nice enough place to stay with the family for a vacation getaway right on a lake. However, we were traveling across I-80 and just needed a place to stay overnight. This was a ways off the highway, so it required some extra driving to get there. The room was okay. It's an old motel that has been renovated but still seems a little tired.”

“Shower curtain was broken and light at desk did not work. Breakfast was better than expected. Room was clean.”

“Hotel posizionato lungo la strada per le Niagara Falls ma troppo distante da loro. Molto poco pulito, lenzuola macchiate banco non pulito (sporcizia nei angoli e sopra il lavandino). Caffè già aperto. ”

“Located 5m from downtown Jim Thorpe. Delicious homemade gourmet breakfasts and pastries. Street parking on incline and parking space near back yard. Comfortable beds and pillows. Mini fridge outside of rooms with free water, sodas for purchase. ”

“The room was clean and nicely decorated. The check-in process was convenient, as I could check in at any time after 4 pm once I received the code.”
