“We came looking for a camping spot for the solar eclipse. Our site was tucked away at the end of a huge field on a small peninsula with a running river nearby. The camping was amazing, the ground was nice and soft for our tents and we could build the campfire up with an endless supply of firewood. The stars were on full display as there wasnt much light pollution in this area. Taking a splash in the fast and cool river was a highlight. “Owners obviously put a lot of thought and effort into making this a lovely and comfortable place to stay. We were able to witness spectacular sunsets from the the deck surrounding our tent. Be aware that this is dark country, so a local rooster will wake you up early! Only reasons for the 4 stars above: one of the restrooms was out-of-order, so we did not get private restroom as advertised. It wasn’t a big deal, though. “Everything was very enjoyable. The host was very helpful and communicative. The bed and tent were clean. There was firewood and fire starter for the campfire and a barbecue to cook with. Everything was functional. There were accent lights already turned on in the tent when we arrived, which was helpful during the night. The port-a-potty was very clean. The atmosphere was relaxing. Overall, a very pleasant and enjoyable stay.”
