“Affordable and clean”

“I arrived late in the evening. The gentleman at the desk was great. The first room I was given had a mess in the bathroom from HVAC work that had been done that day. I was given another room that was better, although there was a little of the HVAC debris. I made the front desk aware but I chose to stay in that room. The hotel is older. The lobby area is pleasant. There is only one elevator functioning. The carpet in the hallway on the 3rd floor desperately needs to be replaced. My room...

“the property is not up to the best on cleanliness, or comfort. The sofa's in the room as well as the reception area are way past their time. You sit, you sink! The pool was not up and running. The breakfast is very poor and not a lot of choice. The rooms are very old and need updating. The picnic table at the back that I used for a smoking area is worn, loose and dirty. I don't think I would stay there again.”

“I rarely leave bad reviews, but my stay at Candlewood Suites Watertown was honestly very disappointing. Carla at the front desk was kind and accommodating, and she was probably the only positive part of the experience. The room smelled terrible, like a closed unused room full of dust and mold. There were spider webs everywhere, flies inside the room, and the living room area smelled very bad, like it had not been cleaned or used properly for a long time.
