“We stayed here for one night after a day in Winchester. A nice enough hotel, with staff pleasant enough. The room we stayed in was small but well kept. The main issue we had was that the room was that next to a staff run through, meaning doors were slammed constantly. Further, there was no air conditioning, and the room we were in at the bottom floor was next to a busy beer table and had lots and lots of mosquitoes, meaning we were bitten to heck! “Lunch was wildly expensive but breakfast was good. It would have been helpful to know we were on the 3rd floor no elevators and tiny circular stairs. For those with some mobility challenges it’s a hike!”

“Internet was good and staff very pleasant. They made me porridge & asked how I'd like it made & gave me gluten free bread toasted as requested. I was in a room directly over the bar area so was a bit noisy but was all quiet by 11pm so was able to get a good sleep. Lovely room!”

The double room was spacious, clean, comfortable and with an amazing close view of the Winchester cathedral (practically over its grounds). “Great hotel. Staff were good but let down with restaurant weekend staff that could have done more. I kinda felt they didn't make an effort asking a colleague or finding out to andwer my questions instead of just saying "I don't know" Got my simple request wrong 3 times which was a shame. In the end I didn't insist anymore as I felt will just add to my stress.”
