Hotel a Iowa orientale

“The outside looks great but once I opened the door to our room we were greeted with the strong horrible smell of cat urine!!!! Had to use half the bottle of dawn air freshener to get the room to a tolerable smell. The tv in the bedroom only had 4 working channels and the tv in the living room had no working remote! Pool was great and will stay for breakfast maybe I’ll add another review if it’s great if not won’t be another review.”

“Cedar Falls is a surprisingly robust community and the Blackhawk Hotel is a hidden gem! The staff is engaging and generous and go the extra mile to make sure you’re taken care of and heard. This is an historic inn, so the premises are burnished with years of use, which I think just adds to its charm. Main Street is dotted with several unique eating, drinking and shopping establishments and our nightcap at the Bar Winslow in the hotel was the perfect spot for our too-short stay in Cedar Falls.”

“The 1st thing you notice when entering to check in is that the place smelled like cigarette smoke. I guess they still allow smoking in the casino. Fortunately, I couldn't smell it in the room. The room had a mini-fridge that I used for leftovers, but there was no place to reheat them. I had to take them to the front desk to have them heat them up for me in the back. They should have at least 1 microwave on each floor by the vending machines. The leftovers was from their own steakhouse, which was...

“I've stayed at a lot of hotels of this chain and unfortunately this location was not up to par. I was in town for my daughter's high school competition and we spent all day (8+ hrs) at the high school and called ahead to make sure our room was ready by the time we'd be there and they said yes. We arrived an hr after check in only to be told we would have to wait another hr or so. I had exhausted kids ready to crash and the front desk receptionist could not give me a time frame. “the review at Best Western did good, clean and personal. Clean room did good job but missed one thing was when I drop dirty towels by door. maid did not bring clean the towels after dropping them off by door. Breakfast was good but need to add some breakfast.”
