“The property is a historic building. The lobby was very nice. The staff was professional. The room was decent. Our room had a door connecting to the next one over. They were not part of our group and unfortunately, we heard more than we should have from their room. Other than that, our experience was good. I enjoyed the walking map of the murals. It is a great location as it’s close to the art museum and the Mississippi River aquarium and museum.”

“It was all around horrible. We did not even stay for the night. We ate the money & found a better hotel. It was so gross. Stained comforters, carpet was nasty in the rooms and hallways. Pool was atrocious. Not to mention the smell of pot everywhere. Not somewhere I want my family to stay. Will never stay at a La Quinta again. ”

“While the staff were welcoming and helpful, this hotel looks nothing like the pictures you see on the internet. It is run down and neglected. The towels were dirty. One of the washcloths had mascara on it (not my mascara). When we saw how dirty the room was, we skipped the breakfast. What I thought was going to be a relaxing stay in Cedar Falls turned into a "how fast can we get out of here?" layover. ”

“I had this room reserved and when I arrived to check in at the front desk the already fed-up employee said nope we are full! Eventually I got him to look at my phone and see that we did in fact have a confirmed reservation under my name at this very location. After some digging on the computer, he told us they must have overbooked and thus cancelled our room, but we "should get a refund". We had driven across the country at this point and now had nowhere to stay. The staff made it very obvious...
