“ Location was the only Plus !! We booked at this estate because it was offering Morning breakfast. It also showed a restaurant which offered Lunch and Dinner!! It was a total disappointment! When we contacted for the breakfast, the guy told us he will keep it outside our door. We expected breakfast that was already made but what we got was the ingredients to make breakfast! “Cabin was clean and tidy, but the air conditioner didn’t work properly, it was 33 degrees and only blowing cool air, it was so hot. The BBQ at the pool didn’t work, luckily there was one at the camp kitchen to use but the room was locked. Also the detergent bottle to wash dishes was filled with water so was very successful at cleaning the BBQ dishes.”

It’s a conference centre first and foremost and for the ten days we were there there were no conferences so was very very quiet with limited facilities available. “Overall stay was pleasurable. Nice cottage and quiet surrounds. Just a few things- Lucky key box was already open as we weren’t sent a code or check-in details. Cobwebs and dust hanging from windows, ceilings and fan was an eyesore. In the accommodation folder says bacon, eggs and yogurts were supplied for breakfast, no yoghurts, and weren’t expecting Aldi packaged sliced ham instead of bacon and Aldi prima’s. No curtain to cover the window facing the loft bedroom which let the hot sun beam...

“A gorgeous place to stay. We loved our time at Aquila and felt so relaxed and refreshed being there. The room was clean and cosy, especially with the fire on.
