It’s a conference centre first and foremost and for the ten days we were there there were no conferences so was very very quiet with limited facilities available. “Cabin was clean and tidy, but the air conditioner didn’t work properly, it was 33 degrees and only blowing cool air, it was so hot. The BBQ at the pool didn’t work, luckily there was one at the camp kitchen to use but the room was locked. Also the detergent bottle to wash dishes was filled with water so was very successful at cleaning the BBQ dishes.”

“Overall stay was pleasurable. Nice cottage and quiet surrounds. Just a few things- Lucky key box was already open as we weren’t sent a code or check-in details. Cobwebs and dust hanging from windows, ceilings and fan was an eyesore. In the accommodation folder says bacon, eggs and yogurts were supplied for breakfast, no yoghurts, and weren’t expecting Aldi packaged sliced ham instead of bacon and Aldi prima’s. No curtain to cover the window facing the loft bedroom which let the hot sun beam...

“A gorgeous place to stay. We loved our time at Aquila and felt so relaxed and refreshed being there. The room was clean and cosy, especially with the fire on. The amenities were fantastic and the bottle of bubbly readily enjoyed! We both found the bed to be comfortable and had a real quality night's sleep. Couldn't fault it, thank you for having us! ”
