“Made welcome as soon as I arrived and Pauline was an excellent hostess. Anything was no bother and even went out of her way for guests. Food was excellent and I will be back anytime I am in area. Try the Surf and Turf Fajita and the Chicken burger is a must. Rooms tidy and clean.”

“Our room was beautiful. It had a king size bed and the en-suite bathroom was a good size. The only downside was that the toilet flush handle was broken but still worked. It could have done with better lighting in the bathroom as you couldn’t see in the mirror very well. The room was immaculately clean and had a sofa and tv with easy to connect to WiFi. Personally I struggled with comfort of the bed as I found it too soft but it was dressed with clean sheets and had extra pillows in the wardrobe....

“I attended a wedding not to far from the hotel, so when I came to check in, front of desk was warm and welcoming,friendly atmosphere, house keeping staff very friendly, room was over the riverside, beautiful views, room was clean, and fresh, beds were very comfortable. Bathroom very clean and spacious.Temperature controlled room, which made it amazing when it was rather warm when we had come back later on. Definately recommend! ❤️ ”

“Very basic hotel, requiring refurbishment. The main problem: they offer brekfast using a Gym structure 50-100m away out of the parking. “After a seven hour drive from Skye in wet and stormy conditions, it was wonderful to arrive at Lanehead Old School where Lisa had lit the log burner in the large and comfortable hall and made me feel immediately at ease. The sleeping quarters are very cosy, with a separate bathroom and living room containing everything you need for a relaxed stay, best of all a very comfortable bed. Next morning breakfast was sumptuous, cooked to perfection by Lisa who is a super host. L’oasis a special place...

“It’s a lovely hotel and very convenient stop. The staff were super friendly and helpful. We only had breakfast but it was delicious and plenty of it. The decor was lovely but needed a bit of tidying and the vase on the table needed a clean. I’m not keen on fake flowers which gather dust and the winter sun shows the glass vase needing a polish. I’m being picky hoping I’m being helpful. It was a fab stay and I thoroughly recommend it and would stay again. ”

“Last minute booking due us n3eding tongo and viait family after a sudden unexpected family passing all the stagf where nothing but kind and polite and when we needed to extend our stay it was no issue at all for them to help us we opted to have the breakfast and im so glad we did aswell as the full english and continental option the also had things like omelettes, avocado on toast and the most delicious eggs florentine. The manor is stunning as is the grounds and i enjoyed googling the history!”
