The owner was very friendly, available and helpful without at any point being intrusive. He went out of his way to make us feel at home and to provide what we needed.

“It was a dream come true. Always wanted to stay in a castle and it exceeded my expectations. We stayed in the Radcliffe room. Unbelievable. Clean spacious and felt like a princess. Sauna was a nice touch and the bath was absolutely beautiful and spacious enough for 2. Would’ve liked bubble bath or epsom salts that’s the only thing I would’ve asked for. High tea was impressive with plenty of food and evening finding was amazing fresh and tasty. We didn’t want to leave ”

“Another lovely stay in this fabulous pub. Our double room was spotless. Well decorated and some nice little touches inc the well stocked tea/coffee tray. Great location and views to the rear from the beer garden are spectacular. Can’t wait to return soon. Staff so friendly and welcoming too. ”

We only had breakfast but it was delicious and plenty of it. The decor was lovely but needed a bit of tidying and the vase on the table needed a clean. I’m not keen on fake flowers which gather dust and the winter sun shows the glass vase needing a polish.

“Last minute booking due us n3eding tongo and viait family after a sudden unexpected family passing all the stagf where nothing but kind and polite and when we needed to extend our stay it was no issue at all for them to help us we opted to have the breakfast and im so glad we did aswell as the full english and continental option the also had things like omelettes, avocado on toast and the most delicious eggs florentine. The manor is stunning as is the grounds and i enjoyed googling the history!”

This structure is not suitable for food and the breakfast is very poor and NOT cheap. Apart from this, there is no agreement with the hotel and you have to sign a book each time you enter. Sure I'll NOT came back.”

“A nice quiet place to rest on our journey up north. The staff was helpful, the beds were comfy, and the room was unexpectedly large for England. Breakfast was delicious. Only bad part was that there were not enough usb charging ports by the bed, but it’s not a big deal. Probably our best stay on our England trip.”
