“I’m a dedicated Marriott: Bon Voy member. I’ve traveled the globe staying at Ritz Carlton locations for decades. Upon arrival the check in was very smooth and was greeted respectfully by the front desk. During my stay the coffee shop located un lobby had the entire system go down so could serve guests. The service pool side and their drinks were exceptionally poor. The tv in the room didn’t work and when explaining I was offered points as a solution. “I stay in a lot of Res Inns. The staff was cheerful and supportive, but a couple of things struck me as below the Marriott standard. I spent 10-15 minutes the in room iron, trying to get it working to press a shirt for the next morning changing outlets only to discover the iron was broken. I also discovered one of the outlets (a horizontal one on top of a desk) wasn’t anchored and when I tried to unplug the iron the whole outlet box came off.
