“An elegantly appointed fairly formal country house in a beautiful rural setting, not far from a tiny small village. The rooms are comfortable and the hosts provide a great breakfast.
Access to and from the property from the A roads was interesting to say the least. Single lane “roads” for the 2 miles either side of the property require a fair degree of both caution and concentration. Some parts will barely allow a car to pass. That said, it is worth the trip. Just do it slowly!”

“Stayed here 2 nights as I was attending nearby Festival. I Called Les the host and he was very accommodating leaving my keys in the safe box. The room was clean and housekeeping came daily. The bed was very Comfortable i had 2 really good night sleep here. Bayside is right next to the beach which was a bonus as it was a warm bank holiday weekend. Definitely recommend a stay here.”

The only things that let it down, was the annexe we stayed in, could of done with a bit of updating and an iron. But other than that i would advise staying in one of the rooms inside the hotel. “Warm welcome and friendly staff, however quite a modest property even for a BnB and at this price point. Small room with very small shower. Fine breakfast but only instant freeze dried coffee, and few options if you don't want a fry up. Immediate area full of litter on streets (like most of Barry). I know this isn't their fault but it's a location point. Overall a fine place to stay but I'm surprised current reviews are quite so high -- afterall, a warm and friendly welcome should be expected...
