“Rooms were fine, lots of nice scenic views. Staff were helpful and friendly, wasn't impressed with the food though. The unseasoned steak I ordered didn't see the inside of a frying pan at all and the breakfast was a bit low on the portion side of things considering it was about £11 per person. Lovely IPA on tap at the bar though!”

“Yes the rooms are outdated, however, it was perfect for our one night stay. It was clean and quiet. I would easily stay for a weekend! The staff was super friendly and helpful. The elevator was out of service, so we did get help with our luggage. Highly recommend it and there was plenty of great free parking on the property. I think they are working on making some updates to the place, which would be fantastic!”

“Decent hotel in central Winchester”

“Stayed quite a few times here. The bed on this occasion was not in a good state. Both bases on the double bed were sagging in the middle so it was not good occasion”

“The room was fairly basic, minimalist! There were no spare blankets available but the room had heat available in the hotel. The restaurant ordering was all by QR code - no cash. The food was good. The outer corridors was noisy until 9.45pm with small children running up and down and yelling unsupervised. I didn’t report it hoping the parents would act like parents!”

“Breakfast is pretty good. Uber is easy to get on and off at the park lot.”

“The view of Winchester Cathedral from my bedroom was amazing. All of the staff were extremely helpful and positive including promptly resolving air temperature issues in my room. The room was spotlessly clean. But the room felt rather tired with scratched and battered furniture and a dated bathroom. The decor in the bar and restaurant did not reflect the historic location of the building and seemed very generic and unimaginative”

“Very friendly and accommodating staff. Recently refurbished bar, restaurant and rooms. Most powerful shower I’ve ever had! I had a lovely Sunday Roast whilst there too.”

“Wendy made us feel welcome and at home, at the same time as respecting our privacy. The room has beautiful decor and is very comfortable and well equipped. We would definitely stay again”
