“We booked this hotel for a concert in Gainesville. When we arrived, there was five couples standing outside waiting to register. All of us needed to get to the concert in order to find parking before got too late. We waited an hour and 15 minutes for one couple to be processed. The gentleman who worked there was very nice, but was working with extremely limited resources. I think he did the best he could, but the rooms were substandard, dirty, and we didn’t get our room till 1:30 in the morning....

“The cabins are wonderful and you immerse yourself in the Old Florida setting. I spent only 1 night but I would like to return for a whole week as a retreat to read and write. That is one of those places that stay with you and so inspiring. Since it was a Monday the restaurant was closed but can t wait to try it out next time I am back.”

“Unfortunately my stay was not peaceful due to unsupervised teenagers running rampant until 1 am. Security was called 3 times by 3 different guests and finally the adults with the group showed up. I had to threaten the kids and their chaperones that I would call the police if they didn’t get them under control. It would have been nice if the hotel had offered to comp my room or reduce the rate but they did not. The hotel should consider placing the teen groups on the first and second floor away...
