“After spending several days canoeing and portaging through the Boundary Waters in Superior National Forest, this hotel was what we needed. We arrived exhausted, dirty, and ready for a hot shower and a good night’s sleep. The rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable (a little firm for my taste, but other’s in my party liked them), and everything felt fresh and welcoming. My only wish is that room service had been available, but ordering through Uber Eats was easy and made for a convenient...

“We enjoyed our stay at HIE again. We stay here all the time when we fly in and out of Mpls. Rooms are very nice, large and clean. Staff is great, and the shuttle service is very good also. They also have a good breakfast that's included with the room, best we've had at any hotel. We had to take off to early this time for our flight, so didn't get to enjoy it. I did a good cup of coffee to go though. I highly recommend staying here, especially when traveling! 5☆ hotel in my book! 🤗”

“Parking was free and adequate. Staff was nice; we had no special needs or requests. We appreciated that they let us use the lobby for about a half hour family get together before we flew home. Breakfast was versatile and well maintained. For the cost, We appreciate that it was affordable and we will likely return again next year for our yearly trip to Minnesota”

“The beds are extremely hard! Keep in mind that I like hard beds, but these were ridiculous. I think sleeping on the floor would have been better. I am a side sleeper and literally had to move at least every 3 minutes (that’s being generous), even my 60lb 10 year old couldn’t fall asleep. There are no where near enough outlets and the few that they do have are in odd places. The tub was dirty and the water pressure sucks!”

“Quieter location (minus airplanes) -modern and newer hotel which we like. Breakfast cost $11 person for typical hotel breakfast-it was ok, not great. Location, price, and newer hotel worked for us.”
