“The room was nice & clean , a bonus was the air conditioning as it was hot weather . We also ate evening meal there which was ok , breakfast was plentiful with a good choice . We only stayed one night on our way to Scotland & our daughter & family met us there to complete the journey . What was nice was that they were able to park & use the hotel for food / drinks etc . Thankyou we appreciated that 😊”

“Great stay in a great pub/inn in a lovely village. Originally we were looking for somewhere near York and picked this place at random – so got lucky. Decent-sized, comfortable room, the beer 'proper' Yorkshire, and the food was excellent throughout – we could have eaten almost amything on the quite extensive menu. “Personal choice but didn't like the evening menu choices and breakfast was good if poached eggs were cooked better. Mine still had the clear egg slime on them. Staff were brilliant even down to the housekeeping. Room we had was really lovely, modern and a good size. Lots of space in bathroom and a great shower. Free parking was a real bonus. Really enjoyed our weeks stay at golden fleece hotel”
