“The property is beautiful. Our room was lovely—very clean and comfortable. The seating in our room was perfect for reading, and the balcony an extra treat. Allen was so gracious and helpful. The location was great for dinner plans and a short easy drive to Churchill Downs. Breakfast was delicious—especially the biscuits and gravy. “There are NO STAFF ON SITE. I was on tour, which means we often check in after midnight, after a show. It terrified me to arrive at the hotel to find that I needed a security code to gain entrance, a code that was buried deep within several looooong messages from the hotel. At 3am, I am standing outside on an empty street, with no eye witnesses with thousands of dollars of gear, stressed because I couldn't find the check-in code. I messaged customer service and NEVER heard back until they...

“The king suite was perfect for two adults and two children on pullout sofa. Very Comfortable,Clean and spacious. The pool is smaller but has a great seating area. We took advantage of evening snacks and breakfast with made to order omelets. Building is beautiful It was a great visit”

“Large for a Holiday Inn Express & Suites, this newer downtown Louisville hotel is on the threshold between re-gentrified downtown and some sketchy areas. Staff and accommodations are what you'd expect from IHG. Parking can be confusing. It's right next door, but you've already passed it on a one-way street once you're at check-in. If you're loyal to Holiday Inn Express & Suites, you might want to try the other downtown Louisville location. (Uber and Lyft drivers confuse the two.) ”
