We stayed at Hotel Indigo Lower East Side by IHG, located in one of the most vibrant areas of New York City. The neighborhood is full of energy, with plenty of shops, restaurants, and bars just around the corner – including iconic spots like Katz’s Delicatessen and Russ & Daughters.
That said, the lively location also comes with a downside: it can get very noisy at night, especially if you’re staying on the lower floors (we were on the 4th).
Our room was standard, reasonably clean, and comfortable enough. However, we found the staff not particularly welcoming. In the few interactions we had, friendliness seemed to be lacking – and sometimes a simple smile can really make a difference.
On the 15th floor, the hotel hosts The Purple, a popular restaurant and cocktail bar that also attracts many non-guests. Breakfast is served here, but we found the space not properly cleaned from the night before, and the same applied to the pool area.
