“The biggest issue we had with our stay was the lighting in the room. It was quite poorly lit and all the color schemes in the room tended toward dark materials. A second issue was with the check-in. This was a mixed result depending on who was waiting on you. We arrived early and got conflicting stories about when the room would be available, and then we were not informed when it was finally available. The biggest positives were that the bed was comfortable and the room was quiet.”

“The best hotel in Auckland! Beautifully appointed, exceptionally clean rooms. Amazing staff, that are always attentive and helpful. There is nothing to fault at Hotel DeBrett. I have stayed at Intercontinental Auckland, Park Hyatt, Hotel Britomart…Hotel DeBrett is my favourite of the lot. Staff at Vivace, the onsite restaurant are also just wonderful. Always have a smile on their face and very welcoming. Nothing to fault whatsoever! 5 stars all round.”
