“This is our 3rd time here. The other 2 times were in 2012 and 2013. We were amazed how many of the same friendly staff still worked there. We loved the new room remodels ! The only thing that would be nice is a magnified makeup mirror in the bathroom! The food is so good and many options!! ”

A few things we enjoyed about this motel: large rooms, nicely decorated, very well stocked, comfortable beds and chairs, clean, great pool and pool area, outdoor grills and seating areas, free use of towels, beach chairs, umbrellas and rafts, friendly and helpful staff, pedestrian walkway in front of motel to cross the street and many restaurants nearby, ”

“The area suffered a year prior a devastating hurricane which severely brought extreme flooding. The "Island House " managed to regroup and rebuild the facility while maintaining its appeal and accommodations to their customers and visitors. I admire the owners for their resilience and determination while it restored the "resort's" luster and beautiful appeal to the area. Great workmanship and results. “This was our first time spending the night at the charthouse. They were able to allow us to check in earlier even though they were busy. You can easily walk to the beach. A lot of food spots nearby. The pool/jacuzzi were perfect! I can’t wait until the restaurant is open. Will definitely go back. ”

“Abbiamo trovato delle cimici da letto in camera,alle 2.30 del mattino abbiamo richiesto un cambio camera e nessuno ci e venuto ad aiutare coi bagagli ne con la bambina che dormiva nel letto,trasferito tutto da soli senza nemmeno un briciolo di scuse, al momento del check out l’ho segnalato e hanno detto che controllavano,my apologies e stop!terribilmente decaduto (ero stata 4 anni fa)!”

“Hotel vicinissimo alla spiaggia, buon grado di pulizia, anche se l'onnipresente moquette non aiuta certo ad esserlo. Colazione ok, posteggio nessun problema dato i 3 o 4 piani dedicati a quello. Sul tetto è presente un locale molto carino, accessibile a tutti.”

The staff was nice but lay back, food was good on the restaurant, however, the rest of the hotel had zero options, pool area unattended, rooftop closed most of the week, beach chairs and umbrellas on your own, they can improve the customer service and entertainment options on those areas. I used to love the hotel but they need to change a bit if they want to keep the customers. ”
