“Very nice place. Well maintained with a lovely hot tub. Good bar on site. We had some issues checking in and can only assume that was down to Expedia (we did not get key code which caused some issues). Would return.”

“The reason I haven’t scored 5 is that Expedia sold us a room that had issues with noise / cooking smells as it’s above the kitchen and is noisey and smelly when the staff are cooking. We stayed in a room named Helvellyn and Expedia didn’t state any issues with any rooms. If we had booked direct with the queens head it details the room helvellyn as having issues with noise etc due to it’s proximity to the kitchen. I think Expedia have been misleading not detailing the facts about that particular...

“We have stayed here quite a few times and the staff are always so helpful, professional and friendly. Everything is beautifully designed, clean and well maintained. Our room was lovely. It was both comfortable and tasteful. The breakfast buffet had great variety and was thoughtfully displayed and very well staffed. We are always impressed with how smoothly everything runs at this hotel. The pride that all staff take in their work shines through at every level of this establishment :)”
