“The welcome we had wasas if we werefriend for a visit. We were pleased with the room we had. Wehad a good stay many thanks.”

“There were many issues with our stay here. 1. The owners messed with our stuff while we were out. 2. The toilet could only be flushed about 1x per hour. The owner said this was normal. 3. They do not even serve breakfast much less have a free one. 4. There is no airflow in the rooms and they do not have fans. While this is a relatively cheap place to stay, you will likely pay with a lack of comfort”

“Perfect place for a getaway. We were warmly welcomed by the host who straight away recommended places to go for dinner. Our room was lovely with a beautiful view of the countryside. We had a full English cooked for us which was spot on as we departed to climb scafell. We definitely would stay at this hotel again when we next visit the lakes ”

“The staff from the beginning were always very friendly and helpful and provided very useful tips which improved our holiday experience. The room was large, clean and comfortable. The coffee provided in the room and at breakfast was excellent. The breakfast choices were very good and the quality of the breakfast and cakes were excellent. I looked forward each morning to it. The location was ideal as it is on a quiet road but very near the train station and main shops etc.”

“The room was small but very well maintained and clean. The breakfast you could not fault, although you had to give your choice on the night before which personally not in favour of. The staff were very attentive, pleasant and efficient. The situation in the middle of the village ideal and parking on site, excellent. No dogs allowed on site which I am in favour of.”
