“Clean rooms”

“The sink was slow draining. The shower was too hot and when you tried to adjust it by turning it towards the cold, the water just trickled out and it was still too hot! The floor was so dirty my feet were black and had to be washed from walking across it. The staff was nice. The breakfast was fine: waffles, frozen Jimmy Dean egg sausage, cheese croissants, cereal, toast, bagels. ”

“We got to the motel around 8 PM Saturday night 5/16. I told the front desk that we were there to check in and made our reservations via Expedia. She asked me to give her my driver's license and I did. She looked at my license and told us we could not stay there because we lived to close to the motel. We said you got to be kidding! She said no that they have problems with local people staying there and creating problems where they have to call the cops. We live in Banner Elk which is about 50...

“The place is beautiful and tucked into the woods. I recommend taking a screenshot of the instructions while you have cell service since it cuts in and out when you're that deep in the hills. You have wifi in the room which is great. Loved the property! There's a community kitchen in the lodge for all your cooking needs.”

“I freaked OUT over the general amount of filth and the amount of mold in the bathroom!! I never even put my things down. I took out my phone to take pictures of everything, then literally booked it out of there!! It’s no wonder they don’t show the bathrooms up close in the photos. “Su and Mike were wonderful innkeepers/hosts! The Terrell House was perfectly clean, the bed very comfortable, linens crisp white and clean. We had a delightful continental breakfast in the dining room. We would definitely recommend this B&B and come back again!”
