“We were never able to check in. We arrived at the motel at 6:30pm. No one was available to check us in. There was a sign posted outside the office saying that check in was only from 3 to 4pm. We lost the money we had paid for the room, and had to find another hotel to stay in. A drug addict who was staying in one of the rooms was wandering around in the parking lot. He scared my wife.”

“I chose this Sleep Inn because of its proximity to the Great Lakes Naval Station—you can actually hear the calls from the base—but booking here was a huge mistake. The price may be lower, but they really need to include a disclaimer that you will essentially be staying on a dump site. Directly across the street from the main entrance is a commercial landscaping facility with massive piles of compost. The smell is absolutely horrendous, making it practically impossible to breathe when you step...

“I liked the price, we just needed a place to land every evening. I thought the staff was helpful and kind. I didn’t like that the ac kept the room feeling damp, the hairdryer not working, the beds were small and hard. The pillows were thick, but soft-perfect. The housekeeping always gave us extra towels and toiletries as needed. Hotel in general needs updated. I can tell at one time it was a really nice place. Also the back entrance by the stairs was convenient but it worried me that it did not...
