“Pleasant experience, breakfast would have had more choice”

“We booked this room for Memorial Day weekend to have a small vacation with our grandchildren in Michigan. We were looking forward to using the restaurant and bar and the kids were excited to spend the day in the indoor pool. For some reason the hotel decided to close the restaurant, bar, and pool on Memorial Day. WHAT????? The holidays are when people visiting family rent hotel rooms. We were not notified of this when we booked. Also they had the water turned off for four hours one day. This...

“Super nice staff. I found this place after a paid booking was cancelled at another hotel. A little further out that I would like but it was worth it. I got to check out some local bars in Charlotte. A big shout out to Frank. He checked me in and the other staff was very friendly. If you want something clean, inexpensive and not a bad drive to MSU, check out this place.”

“The staff was extremely kind and helpful, especially the young man running the front desk (and operating everything at breakfast). He obviously takes great care in his job and wants to make sure customers are well taken care of, which is always good to see. The building is aged, but appropriate for the price, especially with the service provided.”

“I had an issue with this hotel in the past where we asked for a late check-out to which we were granted, but the manager took it upon himself to then enter our room when I walked a load out... just as my wife was getting out of the shower. It was a whole big ordeal where I almost got the police involved and after this stay, I almost wish I had. It's been a few years since we've been to this location and it's under new management but I'll be damned if the same thing didn't happen this morning!...

“I choose the hotel as one of my other options had clearly mentioned their pool is going under maintenance.. decided to book this.. and for all my stay their pool area was not working, when asked it was a regular maintenance and would take couple hours.. however these couple hours lasted my whole stay.. my kids were disappointed”

“The inn keepers were very welcoming. The inn itself was decorated with beautiful art. The breakfast was exceptional! The location of the inn allowed us to walk to campus and to walk around East Lansing. I would definitely recommend the Wild Goose Inn to any couple or group of people.”

“Everything was great! The place was clean, staff was nice, and breakfast was great! Only other comments about the room are some nicks in the bath tub porcelain, the bathroom door hinges were loose, and some stains in the carpet on the hallway carpet just outside my door. These aren't complaints-- I just hope I don't get billed for any damage. But yeah, everything was great! ”
