“Good solid hotel of late 20th century style, next to river. Not the most modern but well equipped with iron and ironing board and to give idea of age, a trouser press! Clean and well maintained. Nearby there is a major road/ motorway so there was very low level background noise. Didn't keep me awake but it might do in summer if you had have windows open as no air conditioning. To get to lifts you have to go down steps. Hopefully there is accessible option as well! Would stay again but not if...

“The St Ives is a really family friendly hotel. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. The kids entertainment was very good. If I had one critique it would be that the £9 charge for a kids meal is quite expensive for a two year old. Maybe under 5’s should eat for less? It didn’t spoil our break though. Would thoroughly recommend this hotel. ”

“Another amazing stay at The Spa Hotel, Ribby Hall. This was our third and probably best visit of all. The spa wasn’t overly busy, and the rain stayed away long enough to really enjoy the outdoor jacuzzis and enjoy a nice cold beer. We stayed on the Aqua Thermal Journey overnight stay with dinner allowance. The food was delicious as you’d expect from a high standard hotel. “We have stayed many times at this hotel and it has always been pleasant, very clean and cannot fault the staff, apart from one young man serving on the bar on Saturday night whom I asked for a Long Island ice tea, he said no the hot drinks machine is broke ?
